Agile Buddy guide
Agile Buddy for teams
Who signs in, which roles exist, and what each role is expected to do.
Platform roles
These roles apply to the whole workspace. They are assigned by a Platform Administrator under Users.
- Every signed-in person can open Home, their projects, their feedback, and this guide.
- Project Manager can draft and submit project intake. It does not grant backlog access.
- Platform Administrator can activate or disable accounts, assign platform roles, review intake, and triage product feedback.
Project roles
Delivery permissions come from the project. One person can hold more than one role. Product Owner and Scrum Master are often kept separate when the team is large enough to do so.
- Product Owner manages epics and user stories, prioritizes, owns acceptance criteria, accepts stories, and decides releases.
- Scrum Master manages tasks, features, and bugs with the developers, starts and closes sprints, and can override Definition of Done in an emergency.
- Developer is the permission set for Project Member and for specialty labels: Technical Lead, AI Developer, AI Researcher, AI Product Specialist, UX/UI Designer, and Project Manager. The Project Manager label is a project title with Developer permissions. Intake still uses the Project Manager platform role under Users.
- Developers estimate story points, change sprint scope, move cards, and log time. They do not publish documents or manage membership.
Where to look
- Home shows My Work, then Action Required: pending reviews, blocked or overdue sprint items, and feedback that needs a response. Pending reviews opens first when you can accept stories and that list has items.
- New intake appears only when you can request a project. Product Owners and Scrum Masters also get a link to team workload for each project where they have that permission. Hours stay on the workload page.
- Projects opens each workspace you belong to.
- Intake is where a Project Manager requests a new project.
- Users, Intake review, and Feedback inbox appear for Platform Administrators.
